I pledge to support digital rights

Founded in 2005, Open Rights Group (ORG) is a UK-based digital rights organisation that campaigns to protect our rights to privacy and free speech online. During the general election we have asked our supporters to write to Parliamentary candidates, asking them to make a simple commitment

"If elected, I will uphold digital rights in the next Parliament"

ORG’s Digital Rights Manifesto

After a sustained period of attacks on our rights to privacy and freedom of expression, we are asking people to call on all candidates and political parties to protect digital rights.

These rights underpin our freedoms in a digital age, as the use of AI and data profiling expands into more areas of life. From URL to IRL, digital rights keep us safe from intrusion by Government and Big Tech surveillance, as well as threats posed by bad actors across the world.

We consulted with over 2,000 members and our advisory panel filled with experts on digital rights issues.
